Testing performed is normally in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specifications.

Typical tests performed are tensile tests, Charpy impact tests, bend tests, coating thickness tests, hardness testing (pictured), and flexure tests.

Tests may be performed on steel, copper, brass, aluminum, fiberglass, rubber, concrete, and plastics.
